THROUGH THE EYE
OF A FIREFIGHTER

A 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Founded in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to raise money to support fire prevention education programs and to provide emergency financial support through the Boise and Meridian Fire Department's Burn-Out Funds. These funds provide emergency assistance to local community members displaced by fire disasters.

"Through the Eye of a Firefighter" is Brandon's work as he was passionate about the fire service, training and EMS. Brandon passed on November 21st, 2013 after undergoing a surgery to repair a back injury suffered while on duty. This is one of many reminders Brandon left for us to reflect upon. The McCleary Band

Performing At The Gala

The McCleary Band plays various venues around the Treasure Valley and McCall featuring Rock, Folk Rock, Country and Americana.  This includes dance music or just plain ole fashion kick back sounds. Covering bands such as Robert Earl Keen, The Derailers, The Beatles, John Hiatt, Marshal Tucker, and some mixed up blues you are sure to start tapping your toes with enjoyment. One of their most cherished accomplishments is winning “The Battle of the Bands” competition at Ste. Chapelle Winery.  Their band includes retired firefighter - Dennis Cleary on bass, acoustic guitar, harmonica and lead vocals; Rick Delyea on lead guitar and vocals; Jerry Smith on drums, harmonica and backup vocals; Cathy Jager on vocals and tambourine; Rose Cleary on guitar. If you are interested in booking them for one of your events, call Dennis at (208)724-5557.

ABOUT LIGHT MY FIRE, INC.

Why we do what we do

Founded in Boise, Idaho in 1993, Light My Fire, Inc. is proud to work closely with the Boise and Meridian Fire Departments to raise funds and plan events to meet the financial needs to provide fire prevention education such as the fire safe house. The fire safe house provides fire safety education to elementary age children and teaches children how to escape and survive if presented in a fire situation.

Light My Fire, Inc. also provides support to burn out funds associated with the Boise Fire Department and Meridian Fire Department. The burn out funds provide direct and immediate financial support to community members affected by fire.
